Boxing fans are most likely aware already of the big events coming their way. Like most headlining events, these attention grabbing bouts will be held on pay-per-view channels. Okay, that means that they aren’t necessarily going to be cheap, but this may be a good reason to grab a few friends and head out to the local pub for some beers and great action. The truth is, can you really afford to miss guys like Pacquiao or Ward battling it out, regardless of the venue or expense? I didn’t think so, so here is a recap, just in case you weren’t aware or if you just wanted to hear it again.

Saturday, November 5

The aforementioned Manny Pacquiao will square of with the rock solid chin and fast hands of Jessie Vargas. Pacquiao at this stage of his career is, well – legendary. Bringing with him a total of 66 fights, 58 of them wins with 38 of those victories being of the knockout variety. That’s probably why Sportscapping.com has him listed as a 7/1 favorite. ┬áBut┬ámake no mistake, Vargas with his loud 27 victory against one defeat record is no laughing matter. Chances are good neither fighter will be laughing before, and may not be able to after this one. Look for an interesting and entertaining fight as each fighter will attempt to press their will early on in this one.

Saturday, November 19

Sergey the “Krusher” Kovalev faces off against Andre “S.O.G.” Ward in this unifying light heavyweight world championship 12 round bout. Arguably the most anticipated fight of the year in large part due to the power that could be displayed inside the ropes in this one, and that Ward is considered in many circles as one of if not the best fighter in the ring today. It honestly may not get any better than this in the world of boxing. Both fighters coming, unbeaten with 30 wins each, and a combined 40 K.O.’s between them speaks for itself. What to expect? I have to believe this can only go one of two ways. A blistering power battle resulting in an early knockout or a bloodbath to the end. This is a fight for those who love the brutality of the sport and definitely not one for the faint of heart!

Saturday, November 26th

Vasyl Lomachenko will make the first defense of his WBO super featherweight crown against Nicholas Walters. This promised-to-be fast action non stop fight may not carry the weight of those household names of some other fighters (although Walters perhaps should?), this one is gonna be fun. Lomachenko will either prove his doubters right or his fans right as he takes his 7 total fight history with a 6 – 1 record into the ring versus the 26 – 0 Walters. What may surprise many is that Walters with his obvious power evidenced by his 21 knockouts, may have his chin tested as the defending champ has 4 K.O.’s among his six victories.

Grab your drinks, snacks and buddies because November is going to be action packed month, and these fights should give us more than we bargained for, this is boxing at its best.
